Mitchell-Turner Home built 1896 Cassville, Mo |
Samuel Mitchell, a dealer in livestock and real estate, built the home in 1896 across from Flat Creek below Oak Hill Cemetery (land now a city park in Cassville). In later years the home was purchased by the James Turner family. The building burned in the 1960s. |
LeCompte Home and later Barry County Hospital |
Victorian style home built by banker J.W. Lecompte in 1895 and located on North Main in Cassville (Formerly Springfield Road, now Hwy. Bus. 37). After the death of Mrs. LeCompte the property changed hands. Dr. George W. Newman established the Barry County Houspital and Clinic at the residence in 1933. The building was torn down in 1966. |

Bayless-Salyer House in Cassville 1910 |
| Businessman John Melville Bayless and his second wife, Mary Melissa, were the owners of the lots when the construction began on the ten room, two story brick home in 1880. At the time the large ten room brick dwelling was one of the finest in southwest Missouri. After the death of John M. Bayless in 1907 house was purchased from the Bayless family by Rufus Garland Salyer and wife, Mary Lee (Young) Salyer. The Salyers added a front pourch. The Barry County Genealogical and Historical Society purchased the home for restoration in 2000. |

Allen-Chandler House in Cassville |
| Attourney Thomas M. Allen built the home in 1895. Dr. S.W. Chandler purchased the home in the early 1900's. The home still stands next to the Barry County Jail in Cassville. |
